Pastors Kyle and Kathy Parson are the founders and Lead Pastors of Awakening of the Heart Church (AOTHC)—a ministry birthed from their passion to see hearts revived, lives transformed, and people awakened to their God-given purpose. With over 23 years in ministry, they’ve built their lives, marriage, and calling on the unshakable truth of God’s Word.
From humble beginnings—going door to door, leading Bible studies, and praying with neighbors—their obedience and trust in God led to the planting of AOTHC, a church rooted in prayer, biblical teaching, and the power of the Holy Spirit.
They are proud parents and grandparents, with their family actively serving in ministry. Over the years, they’ve counseled and ministered to families nationwide, offering hope and healing to all. Spiritually mentored by leaders like Apostle Dave & Felicia, Bill Winston, and Nancy Dufrene, their passion remains strong: to awaken purpose in God’s people and empower them to live fully for Christ.
The vision of AOTHC is to awaken identity, empower purpose, and impact communities with God’s love and truth. Pastors Kyle and Kathy continue to lead with faith, knowing the journey only grows stronger by God's grace.

Pastor Kyle Parson
Senior Pastor
Pastor Kyle grew up on a rice farm in Sandy Creek, just outside of El Campo, TX. As a child, he would often lie under his favorite tree, staring up at the sky and wondering if he could see God through the clouds. Though he had heard about God, he wasn’t sure if He was real—he just knew he wanted to know Him. Years later, Pastor Kyle was invited to a church in Houston, and that moment changed everything. The God he had searched for came into his heart and transformed his life. He was called to preach the Word of God and to demonstrate the love and compassion of His kingdom. He has now been in ministry for 20 years and has been pastoring for the last three, continuing to walk faithfully in the calling God has placed on his life.
Pastor Kathrine Parson
Co-Pastor
Hello, I'm Pastor Kathrine Parson of AOTHM. I’m the granddaughter of the late Rev. Manual Washington Sr., and was born and raised in Houston after my parents moved from Beaumont, TX. My family attended Lakewood Church under Pastor John Osteen for 11 years. In 1998, I met my husband Kyle, and together we began our ministry journey. We became certified Christian counselors through Restoring Souls Outreach and were ordained as pastors in 2018. AOTHM was birthed through prayer and Proverbs 4:20–23 (NLT). My passion is to see lives transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God—both are essential to truly impact God’s people.
Domnique & Ashley Bailey
Executive Pastors
Ministers Domnique and Ashley Bailey serve as key leaders at AOTHC. Married since 2016, they are proud parents to two daughters, Londyn and Asia. With a deep love for Jesus and a passion for youth, they previously served as Youth Pastors for six years before stepping into their current roles. Ashley, as Head Administrator and Executive Pastor, brings a heart full of love for Christ and His people, while Dom is dedicated to helping others unlock their God-given potential through service and spiritual growth. Together, they are committed to leading with love, excellence, and the power of Christ.
Justin and Jeannine Parson
Senior Executive Pastors
Pastors Justin and Jeannine Parson serve as Senior Executive Pastors at AOTHC. Justin, born and raised in Houston, has been in ministry for over 20 years, while Jeannine, originally from Virginia, has served in ministry for over 15 years. Both felt the call of God that led them to Shreveport, Louisiana—where their personal journeys with Christ deepened and ultimately brought them together. Married and in full-time ministry, they are also passionate about helping children with autism grow into their God-given potential. Their hearts burn to see lives transformed by the presence and power of God, and they count it an honor to serve His kingdom—for His glory alone.
WE BELIEVE
1. We Believe the Bible to be inspired and the uncompromising word of God.
2. We believe that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, died on the cross and
resurrected in three days and he is the son of God.
3. We believe in being baptized with the Holy Spirit according to Acts 2:4,
with the evidence of speaking in other tongues.
4. We believe we have authority and dominion in the name of Jesus.

5. We believe in the God Head Trinity. The Father, Son and the Holy Spirit
and the only way to the Father is through Jesus.
6. We believe that Believers shall lay hands on the sick and they recover.

7. We believe in water baptism by immersion in the Name of our Lord
Jesus Christ and observance of the Lord’s Supper.
